As you reach Garachico notice its peace and quiet. It is a small harbour town usually called as one of the best kept secrets and a runaway from tourists. It only takes 20 minutes to walk from one side to another. The town is nestled between the sea and the mountains, and is well known for its natural swimming pools and picturesque plaza.
After being smothered by volcanic eruptions, during 16th and 17th centuries the town has become Tenerife’s number one trading port and a shipbuilding yard. Today, Garachico is great for scuba diving and guided tours. Here, you will also be able to buy best Canarian wine, jewellery and ceramics or other treats for your loved ones.
