Spaghetti Eatathon

Pearly Grey was once again the location for the second epic ?Eatathon? in aid of the Ingane Yami Children?s Village charity.
On the menu today was Spaghetti Bolognese, a very popular dish originating from Italy, a country renowned for its great cuisine (and fine wines).

The challenge for today?s contestants was to eat a plate full of spaghetti hands free, yes this was going to be messy!!
Each entrant had to either place their hands behind their backs or under the table, and there were plenty of observers to make sure the rules were obeyed.

At the table today were;
Tracey Cutting ? representing Pearly Grey
Sarah & Steve Wilson ? Pearly Grey guests
David Alvarez Casanova ? representing Pearly Grey & a late substitute for our General Manager Ryszard who was AWOL!
Andrew Jenkins ? Pearly Grey guest
Neil Horner ? Pearly Grey guest
Barry & Carl Jackson ? Pearly Grey guests
Ken Smith ? Pearly Grey guest

As the dinner bell chimed 9 faces dived headfirst into their lunch, only coming up to take a gulp of air, and amazingly within 47 seconds we had a winner, Andrew Jenkins from Truro in England had licked his plate clean and was patiently waiting for dessert.
Andrew even managed to emerge with the cleanest face, how he managed that we don?t know, although when you look at Tracey you may think she had Andrew?s share too!!

Thanks to all those who took part, and a special thanks to Tracey for organising the event.
We managed to raise €79.95
