It’s a lovely day here in Callao Salvaje, a perfect day for taking some photos of the new beach ‘Playa de Ajabo’
Today I was not the only one down at the beach location, the amount of activity currently going on has attracted the crowds to watch the construction first hand.

If the Ayuntamiento had known it would be so popular they may have decided to sell tickets!!

The main focus of the construction now seems to be the beach defences, no surprise that this was the area with the most spectators.  But you only had to look around to see that there was plenty of work going on in other areas.  It seems that there is a real impetus to get the beach ready which is great news for the local community and holiday makers alike.

We still don’t have a projected completion date but if they keep up the current pace of construction then hopefully it won’t be too long before we can all enjoy the new beach.
