It’s been almost one month since we last posted photos of the new beach ‘Playa de Ajabo’ at Callao Salvaje.  We have been down several times since but nothing much has been happening.  We’ve heard that work has stopped for a few weeks but we don’t know if this is true or just local rumours, when I was down there this lunchtime only a few construction personnel were visible. After several weeks of hold ups waiting for materials to arrive from suppliers, our maintenance team were finally able to get back to the refurb work on our chosen apartment. Shortly after these pictures were taken the room was ready to be occupied and currently has its first guests enjoying their holiday in their newly refurbished apartment.

As we approach mid August the new beach at Callao Salvaje ‘Playa de Ajabo’ is still in the construction stage of phase 1.  A project which had a provisional completion date of July 2011 is slightly behind schedule, but by Tenerife standards we are still looking good. The refurbishment is now into its fourth week and already we have new plaster on the walls and all the rewiring has been done in readiness for fitting the new wall sockets. Work has also started on the bathroom with the installation of the shower basin and the platform for the new sink. Please see the photos below;
