Hi folks
I am now ready to complete the second and final part of my diary. Many thanks to all of you who have posted messages.
Ok were was I? Oh yes! I was freezing cold as it was now well below freezing, fifty meters from the Alta Vista lodge, fumbling around trying to get that bloody snow crampon back on my boot whilst perched precariously on some loose rocks staring death in the face!!

‘Look Me In The Eyes’ Winner

The ‘Look Me In The Eyes‘ competition which we ran from September 2010 until the end of December 2010 has now finished and the winner has just been drawn.
From all those who took part we had 28 correctly completed forms, we didnt expect to have so many correct entries, so well done to everyone who took part and hats off to all those who got all 8 correct!!

Hi Folks,
I can just about walk again after my gruelling charity walk/climb to the very top of the majestic Mount Teide. The conditions were appalling with temperatures dropping to around minus 14 on the day we climbed to the summit!
Friday 10th December my walk began at sunset from the Atlantic Ocean in Callao Salvaje.

Dougie’s Teide Walk update
As Dougie’s Teide Walk challenge draws closer and the various fund raising events start to take shape, our owners and guests at the resort have already begun contributing.
So far, from the Thursday evening ‘Champagne Farewell’ meetings in the bar, we have raised around €700, this is a fantastic effort from our wonderful owners & guests.

Gala Night For Ingane Yami

Pearly Grey are hosting a special Gala Night on Sunday 12th December 2010.
The event will commence from 5pm and continue throughout the evening, it promises to be a very special evening.

‘Look Me In The Eyes’ competition

Today see’s the launch of our new ‘Look Me In The Eyes’ competition which will run from today until the end of November.

Ingane Yami project gets green light

Yesterday the Ingane Yami Children’s Village received the final permissions to begin the building works.
Representatives of the Kloof Harvest church met with the consultants, contractors and engineers to go over the finals plans before work commences.
Now we have the green light for the project, earth works & construction will start immediately.

World Cup at Legends Snooker & Pool Bar

To celebrate the opening game of the world cup, Legends Snooker & Pool Bar, run by Graham, Carol & Liam Bollesty, held a fund raising event in aid of Ingane Yami.
The opening game was South Africa v Mexico, the game ended 1-1 and the atmosphere in the bar was great. The host nation was well represented by the contingent of loyal South Africans who live here in south Tenerife.
