On Saturday 5th November 2011 a special open ocean swim event will be held at Playa Santiago on the Canary Island of La Gomera. The race will be over a distance of 2,500 metres and there are eight age range categories for both male and female swimmers. Registrations for the event are between 29th July and 15th October 2011.

Charity Golf Day a success!

Ingane Yami Golf Day
What a fantastic day out! Months of preparation by our Ingane Yami Golf Committee finally came to fruition and all the planning and organising was over and the event had finally arrived.
The Committee had managed to get 22 sponsors for the ‘Tee Boxes’ and the greens, this ensured that a big improvement on funds raised last year would be made.

Dougie’s Blue Trail Challenge

There comes a time in a man’s life when he has to challenge himself to the extreme!!
For my next Ingane Yami Charity project, I have just signed up to run a kind of marathon! I say a kind of marathon because it’s actually 48km (30 miles long), but over and above that little oversight the Blue Trail race is actually a mountain race! So that means it’s all uphill….again!!
